This Month's Top Tip – July

Q. Can I put orange and lemon skins on my garden compost?

A. A good compost heap will break down citrus peelings including grapefruit. Just make sure you build your heap in layers and mix the peel in with other materials such as grass clippings. Don’t put citrus peel into worm bins. They don’t like it.
