Lawn Care: Questions and Answers

Q. I have prepared a seed bed for a new lawn. What are the sowing rates I need to apply?


A.  The suggested sowing rates would be as follows:
  • Ryegrass (Lolium perenne) 50 to 70g m²
  • Fescue/bent mixture (Festuca/Agrostis sp) 35g m²
  • Bent only (Agrostis sp) 10 to 15g m²
