Lawn Care: Questions and Answers

Q. I have treated our lawn for moss but we seem to have a lot of it. What more can I do to stop it growing?

A. Consider what the causes of moss growth might be and take action seasonally: moist soil (drain) or very dry soils (water heavily), too low a mower setting (adjust), thatch and soft, spongy turf (scarify and aerate), compaction (aerate), shade, low fertility (fertilise).
