Lawn Care: Questions & Answers

Q. I have to let my dog out on the lawn and dog urine causes brown patches to appear. Is there anything I can do about it?

A. A common problem. You can deal with it by pouring water on the area immediately the dog has urinated. There is also a natural product called ‘Dog Rocks’ which you put in the dog’s water bowl and it filters out the impurities in dog urine which burn the grass.

  2. Use an organic, slow-release fertilizer to feed your lawn and the soil. These materials break down slowly, feeding your grass over a longer period of time.
