Lawn Care: Questions and Answers

Q. My lawn has a lot of mossy areas. What’s best to get rid of it?

A. Our first thought is prevention is better than cure but you’ve already got the moss so either use a fertiliser come moss and weed killer such as Evergreen or Lawn Sand which just kills the moss. When it’s black, rake it out. Or you can go organic and use MO Bacter (available online or at good garden centres) which kills the moss without leaving black residue. Scarifying, aerating and spiking will help prevent the moss.
