Lawn Care: Questions & Answers

Q. I want to create a new lawn in the spring. When can I start preparing the area?

 A. There’s no reason not to start now if the ground is not too hard or wet. Digging the soil over and removing weed will leave it to the frosts to break it down ready for levelling in the spring.
