Lawn Care: Questions & Answers

Q. We have small mounds of earth on the lawn and bees appear to be coming out of them. Are they dangerous if a child were to step on them in bare feet?

A. These are mining bees which nest under the lawn. They are stingless, so don’t worry and you can scatter the earth mounds before mowing.
