Lawn Care Questions and Answers - March

Q.  Help! I treated my lawn with Evergreen weed and feed mix and whole areas have gone black, what did I do wrong and what can I do to get it back? Mr. P. Bonner

A.  When applying a weed and feed product such as Evergreen you need to follow the instructions carefully and ensure you get an even spread.

Weeds and moss will turn black and can then be raked out. If you have too heavy a concentration or the product doesn’t get watered in. you can get larger areas of blackened grass. Rake the area and over seed – you can get a pack of ‘patching’ seed for this.
